Scooters
Mobility scooters are battery-powered vehicles designed to help people with limited mobility move around more easily and independently. They typically have a comfortable seat, a tiller (steering handle), foot platform, and three or four wheels. Scooters are popular for both indoor use (like in home or shopping centers) and outdoor travel (likes neighborhoods and parks). Click here to shop our scooters.

These are typically lightweight scooters designed to be easy to transport and store. They usually break down into several pieces or have components (seat, battery pack, motor, etc.) that can be removed without tools, so you can load them into a car trunk or carry them up a few steps.

Folding scooters are designed to fold up in a single piece, and typically features modern lithium-ion power packs instead of traditional SLA batteries, making battery packs more lightweight and with a longer range. They usually fold with one hand, or a few short steps. These are an excellent choice when air travel or frequent transport is important for the user.

Outdoor mobility scooters are built for regular use outside of the home, offering more power, stability, and comfort than lightweight travel models. This category includes mid-size scooters as well as larger heavy-duty options, with stronger motors, larger batteries, and improved suspension to handle longer distances and uneven surfaces. Many also feature comfortable seating options and other features making them a reliable choice for everyday outdoor activities.

3-Wheel vs. 4-Wheel

3-Wheel Scooters
-
Usually have a tighter turning radius, making them easier to navigate indoors and in smaller spaces
-
Often lighter and more compact, which can make them easier to transport and store
-
Fit well in narrow hallways or crowded areas
4-Wheel Scooters
-
Provide greater stability, especially on uneven surfaces or rougher terrain
-
Generally better suited for outdoor use, offering a smoother and more secure ride
-
There are a few models that do offer a tighter turning radius, but 3-wheel may not be ideal for the user
